Tokelau - Obtain Death Certificate


Procedure

  1. To submit your request to obtain a certificate, go to the BDM (Births, Deaths and Marriages) Office.
  2. Supply the Registrar or Deputy Registrar these information:
    1. Name of deceased
    2. Date of death
    3. Place of death
  3. Pay for the certificate.
  4. You will be informed when can you come back to collect the Death Certificate.

You may place your order via email or by phone:

Include the name of the deceased, date of death and place of death in your request. Use the contact information provided to inquire how can you can send your payment for the certificate and how will they send your certificate.

You may also use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest Embassy of New Zealand in the country you are currently staying. The Embassy's Consular Service Section may be able to assist you in obtaining a copy of a death certificate in Tokelau.
