CDL Fees are as follows, includes both the licensing and application fees:

• Class PA: $14 (permit valid 1 year )

• Endorsements: $2.50 each

A CDL is valid for five (5) years.

• You must be prepared before heading out to apply for a CDL.
• You must study for all tests, and schedule an appointment to take your tests.
• You must have a vehicle ready to use for testing, and make sure it's the same class of vehicle for which you're applying.
• You must obtain your DOT medical card.
• You must have all the necessary documents for applying.

If you will be handling a larger and more complex vehicle, you need to obtain a Commercial Drivers License. This kind of license is ranked in different class depending on number of weight of what is being transported.
