Telangana Police have asked their Landlord’s to register their Tenant’s details to prevent criminal activities. One can register such details In-Person.

Apply In-Person:

1. To register a Tenant’s details as part of a Tenant Verification, you could download the form online from the link: Tenant Form
2. In the procured form, fill the Name, Office Address, Office Phone Number, Residential Address and Residential Phone Number of the Landlord.
3. Under the section of “Particulars of Tenant to whom premises is let out”, fill in all the required details of the Tenant.
4. Fill the details of any one of the following ID proofs: Passport, Driving License, Arms License, Ration Card, Voter Card, Income Tax (Pan No.)
5. Paste a Passport size photograph of the Tenant in the space given.
6. Sign the form with the date under the space given for “Signature of the Landlord”
7. Attach Photocopy of Photo ID proof with the form.
8. Submit the form at the nearest Police Station. Find Your Police Station.
9. The Police would keep a record of the Tenant’s information and would inform the landlord if the Tenant is a criminal or a troublemaker.
   

Note: If there is more than one tenant, separate form should be submitted.

• Do a Self-Verification of the Tenant by keeping a record of their details.
• Request for their Job Call Letter or Pay Slip to verify their place of working.
• In case of foreign Tenants, request for a copy of their Passport & VISA.
• Register their details with the Police.
• Inform the police regarding any suspicious acts by the Tenant.

• Under any circumstances, it is advisable to collect details of your Tenant and Register your Tenant with the Police before you rent out your Building to a Tenant.
• Terrorists and Criminals usually try to rent a place with forged documents. Thus, registering your Tenant with the Police would help you avoid any issues in the future.

• When one registers their Tenant with the police, the Tenant’s details are stored with the police.
• This protects the Tenant from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
