- To Renewal Pharmacists License in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Ghana Ministry of Health (MOH)

- Visit the office and obtain an application form for renewing Pharmacists License from the relevant department.
- Complete the form with appropriate information under relevant sections. The application form should be self-attested by the applicant.
- After filling the application form, make sure that the applicant should attached all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Then, submit it in person to the relevant authority at the office. Make the stipulated payment as directed by the officials.
- After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded to relevant authorities for examination and verification processes.
- Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps to issue the renewed license.
- When the fresh license is ready to be collected, the applicant will receive a notification from the office through email or phone call regarding the collection and the applicant can collect them by any applicable means.
- The processing time for this procedure takes 30 days.

Need for the Document
- Every registered Pharmacist in Ghana must renew their license with the MOH, every time after its license period expires.
Restrictions on use of Pharmacists
- A person who is not a pharmacist shall not describe himself or hold himself out to be a pharmacist by the use of the terms `pharmacist', `chemist', `dispenser of drugs', `druggist', `compounder of drugs', or any other similar term.
- No person shall open or permit any other person to open any premises to the public under the description of `pharmacy', `dispensary', `chemist', `drug store' or any other similar description unless a registered pharmacist is on the premises to supervise the dispensing of drugs or medication.
