1. Application for obtaining a Rental box in Tanzania is available in Tanzania Posts Corporation contact link
2. Applicant has to procure and enter all necessary details in the application form.
3. Applicant must carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are required for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are required for completing this procedure is mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
6. Fee for this procedure differs based on the person renting the box. Details on the fee structure is provided under “Fees” section of this page.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, the rental box will be provided within one day.
8. Applicant can collect their box from the office on the same day of application.

• Citizens of Tanzania and permanent residents of Tanzania who are willing to get a rental box are eligible.

Fee structure for this procedure is given below:

• Government Ministries and Large Business or Institutions = TZS 88,500/-
• Government Department = TZS 59,000/-
• Religious/Educational Institutions, Small Business and NGOs = 35,400/-
• Primary Schools at Departmental Offices in District/Villages = TZS 7,080/-
• Sub Post Offices and Franchised Post Offices in the Rural Areas = TZS 1,180/-

• Rental Box is valid until the person pays annual fees and uses his box.
