Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain a Special Flight License, the applicant must visit the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority contact link
2. The applicant must obtain the application form from the office and fill it up with all the necessary information in it.
3. The applicant must carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant should attach photocopies and originals of all the documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. The fee for this procedure must be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. Once the fee is paid, the applicant will receive a receipt from the respective officer, the receipt must be kept safe for future use.
8. Once the application process is done, the processing time for receiving the license will be provided by the concerned authorities at the office.
9. The applicant will also receive a notification from the office via SMS or E-Mail regarding the availability of the license.
10. The applicant can visit the office to get their license once they get the notification from the office.
11. If there is no information regarding the license is provided to the applicant, then, they can visit the office to know the status of their application.

Apply Online

1. Online application for obtaining Special Flight License is available at the following online link
2. The applicant must click on the “Apply” option for entering in online application self-service portal.
3. If the applicant is a registered user, they can log in directly by entering their “Email Address” and “Password” and clicking on “Login.”
4. If the applicant is a new user, they must register first by clicking on the “Register” option.
5. After clicking on the “Register” option, the applicant must choose the “Client Type.”
6. On the next page, the applicant must provide all the information that is requested for getting registered.
7. Finally, they must provide their “Signature” create a password, and then click on “Register” for confirming registration.
8. After successfully registering, the applicant can easily log in using their “Email Address” and “Password” and then click on the “Login” option.
9. After logging in, the applicant must choose the license as “Special Flight License”.
10. On the next page, the applicant must provide all the information that is requested in the online application form.
11. The applicant should upload digital copies of all the documents that are requested in the online application portal.
12. Finally, the applicant must click on the “Submit” option for submitting the application form.
13. The fee for this procedure must be paid online.
14. If all these procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within a stipulated period.
15. The applicant will be notified via email or SMS regarding the availability of the license.
16. The applicant can visit the office directly for collecting their application form.
17. If there is no information regarding the license is provided, the applicant can visit the office for knowing the status of their application.
