Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for a pilot license is available in the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority contact link
2. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry all documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must carry both photocopies and originals of these necessary documents.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. Applicant has to undertake relevant trainings and pass required knowledge examinations and practical tests.
8. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the pilot license will be issued within one month.

• Applicant must not be less than 17 years of age for airplane and helicopter and 16 years of age for a glider.
