Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for getting Fisherman License or Permit is available in Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Office contact link
2. Applicant must provide all information that is requested in the application form.
3. Applicant should make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure.
4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant should make sure to attach photocopies of all the documents that are needed for completing this procedure along with the application form while submitting the form at the office.
6. The Fee for this procedure can be paid as per the authority’s request.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the license will be provided within a stipulated period of time.

• Bonafide Fisherman Certificate
• ID Proof – National ID/Driving License/Passport
• Address Proof – Passport/Driving License
• Passport size Photographs – 2
• Details about the type of boat or net used for fishing
• Ownership certificate of fishing vessel

• Any existing fishermen in Tanzania and new fishermen are eligible for getting this license.

• The Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
