Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain the Hostel licence or Permit in Tamil Nadu ,you have to approach the District Collector Office.
2. Get the Application form from the Collector Office.
3. The Application Fees for the licence is ₹ 3,000/-.
4. After getting the fees receipt of the application for licence, the collector will do an inspection at the institution with a team of Officers within 20 days.
5. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The inspection team will submit it's report within a week.
7. The Collector may grant a licence or reject the licence upon the receipt of the Inspection report.

• The applicant should be above the age of 18.
• Those who can able to run the hostel.
• The applicant must be the resident of Tamil Nadu.

• The Application Fees for the Licence is ₹ 3,000/- in Banker's cheque or in Demand Draft.

• The License is valid for a period of 3 Years.

• If a person running a hostel without obtaining a license then he may be punished or have to pay huge fine.

• The institution shall ensure water and sanitation facility and also safe drinking water.
• The institution shall maintain the kitchen in a hygienic manner.
