1. For stolen drivers licence: You will need to report the incident to the police before you can start your application to obtain a duplicate licence.
2. Prepare all documents you will need to present or submit when apply for the procedure.
3. You may send your application for a duplicate licence to your cantons road traffic office in person or by post. Use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get the contact details of your local road traffic office.
4. Pay the application fee.

Notes:

• If you lose your blue driving licence it will be replaced by a new credit-card format licence.
• The lost or stolen credit-card format driving licence is automatically cancelled in the driver authorisation register (FABER) when your new permit is issued.
