2. If you are ordering a birth certificate for somebody else, you should have a power of attorney and a copy of the persons piece of identification. A power of attorney is not necessary if you are getting a birth certificate for your children under the age of 18.

You may obtain a birth certificate from the civil register office in your place of birth.
