1.) Training and Theory Test
Training includes both theoretical and practical parts. The practical part is designed for you to learn how to manage your snowmobile. You are allowed to practice driving, but only under the supervision of a certified trainer. Private tutoring is not allowed.
In order to practice driving a snowmobile you must be at least 15 years and 9 months.
You must be at least 16 years old and have been training to do the theory test.
Only those authorized by the Transport Agency may educate and organize tests for drivers' licenses.
To view list of authorized trainers and examiners: http://etjanster-kk-listautb.transportstyrelsen.se/
2.) Once you have passed the theory test, it is reported to the Transportation Board, which will send you an application form for your license.
The Transport Agency will begin to process your application once they received both your application form and payment.
3.) You may start driving once you received notification that your test results are submitted to the Transportation Board. But until you have received the license itself you must at all times carry with you a document proving your identity, such as a passport or ID card. You have two months to submit your payment and license applications. Driving with an ID document is valid only during these two months. Once you have received your license you must have it with you every time you drive.
If you have not applied for the issuance of your license and paid the manufacturing fee within one year from date of issuance, the license becomes invalid and you must apply for another one.
