Sudan - Obtain a Diplomatic Passport


Procedure

1.An applicant starts by visiting the Directorate General of Passports and Immigration to find out the requirements and procedure for obtaining a diplomatic passport in Sudan. It is vital for an applicant to do so in order to assess if he / she is eligible and if he / she has all the requirements for obtaining the required document or not;

2.Thereafter if he / she finds him / herself eligible, the applicant should go ahead and prepare all the necessary documents, he / she must ensure that he / she acquires the all documents required;;

3.He / she then obtains a passport application form from the ministry and fill it carefully and accurately;

4.Then the applicant submits the filled application form together with all the necessary documents to the passport department at the Ministry of Interior;

1.Applicants must be appointed by government for diplomatic work in a foreign country;

2.Validity of passport is for the period prescribed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

3.Applicants must know that holding a diplomatic passport does not mean automatic international travel;

4.Even when a person has a diplomatic passport, in order to travel, he / she must fulfill requirements of the foreign country to be visited;

5.The applicant must have proof of appointment

Diplomatic Passports are issued to diplomats of a given country. Like any other passport, diplomatic passports in Sudan are issued by the government through its Passport Department (Directorate General of Passports and Immigration) in the Ministry of Interior.
