Sri Lanka - Apply for Phytosanitary Certificate


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for a Phytosanitary certificate, Applicant shall approach the Plant Quarantine Station. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
  2. You have to submit an Application form to the Plant Quarantine Station
  3. Application form can be found on the following link: Link
  4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
  5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required documents” section of this page.
  6. The applicant has to present the duly filled application form and Documents to the Plant Quarantine Station.
  7. After the application form is processed, the applicant has to pay the prescribed fee.
  8. The Plant Quarantine Station schedules an inspection. The Inspector inspects the shipment.
  9. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
