For those who are in other Member State of the European Union or a State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area in who have acquired normal residence, or in a third country, the following are needed:

• Heel-photo, it will find attached a photograph. Completed and signed in the appropriate box
• Medical fitness report to be issued by a doctor in the country you currently reside and approved by the Diplomatic Mission or Consular Office of Spain in that country with a recent photograph of the applicant. Being fit to drive must be specified.

For those who have driver's license which is about to expire.

• Five Years Validity - For the driving license BTP classes, C1, C1 + E, C, C + E, D1, D1 + E, D and D + E while the holder does not meet the sixty-five years and three years after that age.
• Ten Years Validity - For the remaining classes permit and driver's license, regardless of their class, and the owner does not comply with the sixty-five years and five years after that age.
