Procedure

Subscriptions are generally done online.

Apply Online - Subscribe to Deeds Web Online with Images

  1. To subscribe to Deeds Web online, you have to visit the following link: Link
  2. Click “Create Account” button. In the Terms and Conditions page, click “I Agree” button.
  3. Enter the personal and required details in the Registration page and click “Submit Application” button to submit and register.
  4. Now, login with the help of the user details and enter the portal. Click the Online application link in the portal and click the applicable option to proceed.
  5. New Account confirmation page will be displayed, read the information carefully and do as instructed. First you will have to pay the fees prescribed by any mode that is mentioned in the above mentioned page.
  6. Then you will have to send scanned copies of all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page, to the email address new.registration@drdlr.gov.za.
  7. After getting your account activated, you can login using the user credentials in the login page and proceed to make use of the services offered with respect to your needs.

  • Any person who wants to access information about a property, sectional title scheme or plan or an ante nuptial contract, can apply.
  • The person applying must possess a valid Identity document.

Instructions

Before you can obtain information, you must have the following ready:

  • Full names and/or identity number of the owner of property, or at least his or her date of birth. (In the case of a juristic person, the name and registration number, if available, is necessary.)
  • The correct erf number and township or farm name and number, not the street address. (In the case of a sectional title scheme, the section and the scheme name are required.)

To access the features and services of the Deeds registries from the website, you must be a registered Deeds Web subscriber as prescribed fees are charged.

  • the registered owner of a property
  • the conditions affecting such property
  • interdicts and contracts in respect of the property
  • purchase price of the property
  • rules of a sectional title scheme
  • a copy of an ante nuptial contract (ANC), deeds of servitude, mortgage bonds, etc.
  • a copy of a sectional title plan or the rules of a Sectional
