Apply by Mail:

1. To Apply for Registration of Environmental Health Practitioners, the applicant must go to the Health Professions Council of South Africa’s (HPCSA) office. Contact Link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities at the HPCSA office, else the application form can be downloaded from the official website linked here. Application Form Link
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filled with all the necessary details, and along with the required documents, it must be sent via registered mail or through courier service to the HPCSA office.
5. The applicant sending mail or the courier must address the application to the “Registrar of the HPCSA”.
6. The application will then be verified by the official at the HPCSA members.
7. If the details and the documents submitted by the applicant is valid and legitimate, then the Environmental Health Practitioners registration will be approved by the officials at the HPCSA.
8. Then the applicant will be issued with the registration certificate as a physical copy as well as electronic copy of the registration certificate will be sent to the applicant email.
9. The registration fee must be paid along with the application which is R897.00, and the receipt must be attached along with the application.

11. The processing time to register as an Environmental Health Practitioner will be intimated after applying.
