Apply In-Person:
- To apply for enrolling in Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Programme in person, the person has to visit the office of Industrial Development Corporation.
- The address and contact details of the IDC can be found in the following link: Link
- Visit the office of IDC and get the application form for enrolling in Clothing and Textile Competitiveness Programme from the relevant department.
- Complete the form as required with relevant details. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- After completing the application form, attach all the documents required for the process with the completed form.
- Then, proceed to submit the package at the CTCP deskin the office for further processes. Make the payment as necessary.
- After all the processes have got completed, the concerned authorities will proceed to make the arrangements for the enrolment process.
- The applicant can obtain any information regarding the progress of his/her request, from the office where the application has been made.

Eligibility
- Any clothing and textile industry, which is interested in upgrading equipment, process, products and people, re-positioning South Africa to compete effectively against other low cost producing countries, is eligible for the programme.
- Any Footwear, Leather or Leather goods industry is also eligible for the CTCP programme.
- The concerned industry must satisfy the requirements set by the Industrial Development Corporation.

Instructions
- The applicant should demonstrate that the business is solvent, profitable and sustainable even without the grant.
- Should a company not currently be profitable the application should be supported by a detailed turnaround plan, to the CTCP Desk’s satisfaction, that demonstrate that the company will be profitable and sustainable going forward.
- Applicants that benefited from the programme in previous years should demonstrate the positive impact that the previous programme interventions had on the business’ financial position as well as operational measures against targets.
