Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Unemployed Educators, the applicant must go to the Department of Basic Education Contact Link
2. The applicant must get the application form from the authorities at the office or else can download it from the website Application Form link
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application must be filled with all the necessary details. The application form must be filled in Ink by the applicant, and it should not be digitally written.
5. The filled application form along with the required documents must either be sent in post or hand-delivered to the “Education Human Resource, Planning, Provisioning and Monitoring” at the Department of Basic Education. (DBE)
6. There are no fee requirements for filing the “Unemployed Educators” application.
7. After filing the application, the details will be updated every month on the DBE excel spreadsheet, and the candidates can check their names by downloading it.
8. If there is any requirement for the respective field, the qualified candidate will be called for employment by the respective officials.

Any Unemployed teachers, or those who had left the profession, are eligible to apply for the Unemployed Educators application.

There is no fee required to file the Unemployed Educators Application.

• The application is valid until the candidate gets the respective employment in their desired field.
• After receiving the employment, the candidate can remove the details from the database.

The Unemployed Educators application helps in getting employment for the applicant from the respective department through the help of DBE.

• The Centre for Development and Enterprise stated that there would be a severe shortage of foundation phase teachers by 2020 if the number of recruits continued to drop.
• Also, the government is in need of about 30,000 new teachers over 12 years to meet demand.
