2. The applicant must download the “Reconsideration Application Form” from the SASSA’s official website linked here Application Form Link
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. The application form must be filled with the necessary details.
5. The application form along with the required documents must be sent to the email given above to the respective province that the applicant is applying from.
6. After verifying the details of the applicant, the Social Grants Reconsideration will be accepted.
7. If the application is successful, the applicant will receive the Grant sanction confirmation message to the mobile number.
8. There is no fee for submitting the “Reconsideration of Social Grant” application.
9. The processing time will be intimated to the applicant after submitting the application.
   

• Proof of grant application to SASSA (Receipt issued by SASSA)
• A copy of a letter of rejection or approval of social assistance application by the Agency.
• A copy of the Power of Attorney or proof of his/her appointment by the applicant or beneficiary to act on his or her behalf. (If the person applying on behalf of the beneficiary or applicant)

The eligibility requirements to file the reconsideration of grant application is:

• If your application was declined for any period and if the applicant had zero income in the preceding month, then the applicant is eligible to file the application for reconsideration.
  

There is no fee for submitting the “Reconsideration of Social Grant” application.

The validity period of the grant will be intimated to the applicant while sending the confirmation message after sanction.
