Apply In-Person:

1. To Transit a Shipment of Radioactive Material, the applicant has to approach National Environment Agency’s Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Division link
2. The applicant has to download and complete the application form given in the following application form
3. The applicant has to complete all necessary details in the application form.
4. Make sure the applicant has all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the documents along with the application form.
6. The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority's request.
7. The completed application form should be submitted together with details of package design, the Certificate of Approval of Package Design, the Shipper's Certificate, and certification by Competent Authority of the types and quantities of radioactive materials in the shipment to NEA_RPNSD_Tranship_Transit@nea.gov.sg.
8. The authority will review the application and contact the applicant via email or SMS.
9. The processing time of the application takes up to 7 -14 weeks.

• The toxic waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility owned by the collector is located in a suitable industrial area outside water catchment.
• The types and quantities of toxic wastes are commensurate with the treatment process and disposal facilities.
• Adequate measures such as containment areas, leak detection, and warning devices, proper emergency action plans, neutralizing agents, handling gear, absorbent material, etc are provided to prevent and mitigate any accidental release of the toxic wastes.
• Incinerator complies with NEA's Guidelines for a Special Waste Incinerator.

• The transportation of radioactive material in an amount exceeding quantity prescribed in the Environmental Public Health (Toxic Industrial Waste) Regulations requires written approval from PCD.
