1. To Obtain Licence or Permit to Use Lasers, the applicant has to make the application in GoBusiness licensing portal link
2. Enter a search “Licence to use lasers” then click on "Add to selection"> click on "Review and Apply" and then click the "Proceed" button.
3. The applicant can also make a search by clicking the “Government Agencies” and select “National Environment Agency” NEA and choose the appropriate service.
4. The applicant needs to login with their singpass Id number and password

   Note:
   If you do not have an account you can register by clicking on register now, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agree to the terms and condition and click on register now, no the next page entry your personal information and submit. You will be issued with you Sing Pass ID number and password.

5. The applicant has to necessary information and submit the required document that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. After submitting the documents review the application and click submit.
7. Unless exempted by RPNSD, applicants are required to pass the relevant qualifying tests. A notification letter informing applicants of the test date, time and venue as well as the webpage link to the study materials will be sent to the applicants upon the processing of the submitted licence application.
8. The applicant has to pay the license fee of $105 credit or debit card.
9. The National environment agency will post out the hardcopy licences within 1 month upon successful payment.
10. The applicant can check the status via GoBusiness licensing portal.

Note:
A maximum of 2 test attempts is allowed for the qualifying test, failing which the licence application will be considered unsuccessful. There will be no refund of the licence fee.

• To be eligible, the applicant must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work visa.
• The individual must comply with the Radiation Protection Act and its subsidiary Regulations, in particular the Radiation Protection (Non-Ionising Radiation) Regulations.

• Fee to obtain Licence or Permit to Use Lasersis $105 per year

• The Licence or Permit to Use Lasersis valid for one year.

• Applicant should apply for a new licence at least 2 weeks before and no earlier than 6 weeks before receiving, installing and commissioning the equipment.

• This licence is required for applicants intending to perform or carry out work involving the use of laser apparatus in Singapore.

This licence is required if the person intend to use laser apparatus. These include, but are not limited to:

• Class 3b and Class 4 Industrial Lasers
• Class 3b and Class 4 Cosmetic Lasers
• Class 3b and Class 4 Entertainment lasers
• Embedded laser systems containing class 3b or 4 laser
• Laser pointers above regulatory clearance
