Singapore - Get Certificate in Peer Support


Procedure

Apply online

  1. To Get Certificate in Peer Support, the applicant has to use the following link for online application link
  2. First the applicant has to read the instruction carefully.
  3. Applicant has to select the type of module application to apply.
  4. Applicant needs to enter all the necessary information in the form.
  5. After this download the declaration form from this given link
  6. Attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. The applicant has to upload the declaration form and click the “Submit” button.
  8. Once the process gets completed, the authority will intimate through the given mobile number.
  9. The applicant can get the certificate by post or has visit the office.
  10. The processing time for this procedure is within 7 to 14 days.

Eligibility

The eligible persons are:

  • Keen to build on their competencies in order to perform the role of a Peer Support Specialist.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • A Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
  • Have a diagnosed mental health condition that has stabilised.
  • Willing to share their own lived experiences to support others in their recovery.
  • Self-identifying as a present or former primary consumer of mental health services.

Need for the Document

  • This is the second module of the ‘Peer Support Specialist Programme’. It equips learners with the necessary competencies to perform the role of a Peer Support Specialist.
  • This module comprises of 10 days of classroom training and 100 hours of supervised practicum in a social service or healthcare agency. Learners who fulfil all the requirements for this module and are assessed to be competent will receive a Certificate of Achievement in Peer Support.
