Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply to Repay Education Loan Using General Interbank Recurring Order (GIRO), the applicant has to make the application in Central Provident fund board link
2. The applicant has to download and complete the application form link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form (Incomplete application form are not accepted).
4. The applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After completing the application form, the applicant has to mail the application from to Central Provident fund board (Contact details was given in “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page).
6. The authority will process the application within 21 working days upon the receipt of application.
7. Notification will be sent to the applicant to inform the status and the effective date of the GIRO arrangement upon the approval.
8. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.

Note: The applicant has to maintain the sufficient funds in the bank account to cover the deductions.

Apply online

1. To Apply to Repay Education Loan Using GIRO, the applicant has to inform CPF board about their intention to start early repayment of their education loan through My Mailbox using Singpass link
2. The applicant has to log in with their Sing Pass app or alternatively the applicant has to login with their Singpass ID number and Password.

   Note: If the applicant doesn’t have singpass app he/she can download app from the app store. If the applicant does not have an account, he/she can register by clicking on register for singpass, read the information marked 1 and 2 and agreeing to the terms and conditions and click on register now, on the next page enter your personal information, and submit. The applicant will be issued his/her Sing Pass ID number and password.

3. Once the request has been made the authority will advise on the monthly instalment amount and the start date of repayment.
4. After the request for early repayment has been approved, the applicant may submit a GIRO application through My CPF Online Services – My Requests with Singpass to deduct monthly repayments through GIRO. The applicant will be re-directed to DBS or OCBC’s I banking portal to complete the application.
5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form (Incomplete application form are not accepted).
6. The applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. After uploading the documents review the application and click submit.
8. The authority will review the application and contact the applicant via email or SMS.
9. The processing time of the application takes up to 30 working days.
