Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Change of Trade, the applicant has to approach Hawker Centres Division of National Environment Agency link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant or the applicant can download the application via the following link application form
3. The applicant has to fill all the necessary information in the application form.
4. Make sure the applicant has all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant has to attach the photocopies along with the application form.
6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee which is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. After successful payment, the change of trade was approved by the authority within a stipulated period of time.

• Any person who intends to apply for Change of Trade is eligible to make this application.

The administrative fees are as follows:

• $100 (excluding GST) for the balance term
• $200 (excluding GST) for a fresh term and where there is a change of use of living quarters to non-residential use

• The validity will commence by the authority officer.

Before a person change his trade, please take note of the following terms and conditions:

• He/she fulfilled the conditions in the Tenancy Agreement during your existing term of tenancy with us
• Do not have any arrears
• The applicant is not a bankrupt
• All trades operated at the premises must be approved by HDB and shall meet the statutory requirements of the relevant competent authorities. Trades not allowed in HDB commercial premises include: storage, wholesale centre, industrial trades etc.
• The business operation shall not create any nuisance.
• The approved trades must only be conducted within the premises. You can seek your Town Council's approval to use the common area for displaying part of your merchandise
• The applicant can change or include a new trade for the balance term of tenancy with us. In addition, you can choose a fresh 1, 2, or 3-year term for trades where there is a change of use of the living quarters to non-residential use or to a family restaurant
