Apply In Person
- Applicants shall visit the Permanent Resident Services Centre for applying.Refer the office contact details in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section below for address details. The Contact details of office Contact link
- First, arrange an appointment through e-Appointment online.
- The applicant has to visit the website in the below online link
- Select the service from the drop down menu. Select the option “Apply for REP (renewal) / CI”. Fill in the required details and submit it by clicking on the “Submit” button.
- The appointment can also be arranged through app eAppt@ICA
- The applicant has to visit the link given below online link
- Download and install the app.
- After installation, open the app.
- Select the “Permanent Resident” button
- Select the option “Apply for REP (renewal) / CI”. Fill in the required details and submit it by clicking on the “Submit” button.
- Collect the application form from the office.
- Now complete the form with the necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below with the completed application forms.
- Check the application form and then submit it to the concerned authority.
- Now pay the required fee to the concerned authority. The payment can be made through NETS or Cash Card.
- The officer after validating the application form and the documents will provide you with an acknowledgement/receiving slip.
- Once it is processed, the applicant will receive an SMS or call on the registered mobile number to collect it.
- The applicant will be required to carry the acknowledgement/receiving slip when going to collect it.
Apply In-Person from Overseas
- Applicants shall visit the nearby office of embassy.
- Refer the office contact details in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section below for address details.
- The embassy will help you to forward the application to the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
- Collect the application forms from the office.
- Now complete the forms with the necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below with the completed application forms.
- Check the application form and then submit it to the concerned authority.
- Now pay the required fee to the concerned authority.
- The officer after validating the application form and the documents will provide you with an acknowledgement/receiving slip.
- Once it is processed, the embassy will inform the applicant.
- The applicant will be required to carry the acknowledgement/receiving slip when going to collect the certificate from the Permanent Resident Services Centre at Singapore.
Required Documents
- Application forms (Form 6E and Form 6)
- Two recent passport-sized colour photographs.
- Blue Identity Card or SAF 11B/Home Team National Service Identity Card (full-time personnel)
- Most recent COI (if any).
- Additional documents or information to support your application may be required.

Eligibility
- The applicant should be a Singapore permanent residents (PRs)
- The applicant should be stateless (The applicant does not have citizenship of any country)
Fees
The fee is S$125 fee for a five-year period.
Validity
The certificate is valid for five years.

Processing Time
- The processing time is within one working day (without considering the day of submission). Some applications may take more time.
- The processing time is 4 to 6 weeks if applied through embassy from overseas.

Instructions
- A new photograph should be submitted when a new application is made.
- Photographs which are printed must be on a matte or semi matte finish. (a non-reflective photo).
- Your photograph must fulfil ICA’s rules. If it fails to meet these requirements, it will cause delay or result in rejection.

Need for the Document
It is required when extension needs to be made to the period of stay in Singapore beyond the period specified in the visit pass.
- For renewal, the application must be submitted at least 2 months before the expiry of the Certificate of Identity (COI).
- A Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) who stays outside Singapore without a valid COI/Re-Entry Permit (REP) will lose his/her resident (PR) status.
- An applicant staying overseas whose spouse is a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) can furnish his/her spouse's Singapore identity card number and a copy of their marriage certificate for quick processing.
