Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Renew Road Transport Operator Card, an applicant should Visit the Road Transport Department or in regional offices (mining service) in other regions. (Please view address detail under Office Locations & Contacts section below).

   • Note: Applicants are advised to book an appointment via the CAPP KARANGË booking confirmation, number: (+221) 77 438 86 19 before visiting the Road Transport Department offices.

2. On the scheduled appointed date and time, you are required to head to the specific Road Transport Department or in regional offices (mining service) as advised by the CAPP KARANGË staff during the appointment confirmation process.
3. Applicants are required to complete the Application form for Renewal of a Road Transport Operator Card, forms are available for free at the Enquiries Desk at any of the offices of the Department of Road Transport.
4. Applicants should then submit the duly completed application forms along with the relevant attachments (mentioned below under the ‘Required Documents’ section) to the Registration and licensing Officer at the nearest Department of Road Transport for approval.
5. On receipt of the application file, the Registration and licensing officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided for processing, if everything is in order.
6. It is only after the deposit of the complete application file, that the application file will be registered and recorded and the applicant will be issued with an acknowledgment slip containing details of the application.
7. If approved, the renewed professional road transport card will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the authorized official and made available to be collected by the client against his/her identity document and the acknowledgment slip.

Online tracking of the application file

1. Upon submission of the application file for processing by the department of road transport office, applicants can track the progress of their application by visit the CAPP KARANGË website Link and click on FOLLOW MY FILE option located on the menu bar.
2. Fill in the online file consultation form, using the information mentioned on the acknowledgment slip, captch the security details and then click on the To Consult tab.
3. Details of your application progress will then be displayed on the screen.

• A photocopy of the vehicle's registration and technical aptitude certificate (gray card)
• A trade register
• An extract from the criminal record dated less than 3 months
• 1 passport photo
• Valid identity document

• No fee associate with the service

• A professional road transport card valid for a period of 5 years and renewable thereafter.
• Holders of the profession of road transport operator cards are required to renew their registration card in time in order to keep enjoying the incentives that comes with have a valid profession of road transport operator card.

• Any Senegalese/foreigners or Senegalese company wishing to carry out road transport of people or goods must have an authorization authorizing him to exercise the profession of road transport operator from the Road Transport Department.
