Senegal - Obtain Certificate of Domicile


Procedure

  1. Go to your home district or the district where you work to apply for the certificate.
  2. Present a valid identification along with a proof of address (if applicable).
  3. Pay the administrative fee.
  4. The Certificate of Domicile will be issued immediately to the applicant.


Note:

  • If the delegate district do not know the applicant, the district officer may refuse to draw up the certificate.
  • In case the Certificate of Domicile was lost or stolen, a copy may be requested from the same district which issued the certificate. The procedures to be followed will be the same.

Eligibility

Individuals in need of a proof of address for the establishment of an administrative record may request for certificate of domicile.




Fees

The amount charged to obtain the certificate varies from one place to another. The amount usually ranges between 200 FCFA to 500 FCFA.


Note: No stamp duty for this procedure.

Certificate of Domicile is issued by the applicant's home district. The certificate may also be obtained from the district where the applicant works.
