1. To Renew Alcohol Wholesale License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “Create sign-in details” button.
3. Enter the email address and click the “Continue” button.
4. Enter the confirmation code which is sent through the given email and click the “Confirm” button.
5. And enter the full name and click the “Continue” button.
6. Create a password and click the “Continue” button.
7. After completing all the details click the “Submit” button.
8. Now the applicant has to log in with the username and password and click the “Sign In” button.
9. The applicant has to select the form from the menu list.
10. Enter all the details in the application form.
11. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
12. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
13. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
14. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
15. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
16. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
17. The Licensing Board may conduct an inspection of the applicant’s premises to assess whether they continue to meet the necessary standards for alcohol wholesale operations.
18. If the renewal application is approved, the Licensing Board will issue the renewed Alcohol Wholesale License, allowing the applicant to continue operating his/her wholesale alcohol business legally.
19. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• Any Alcohol Wholesale License holder who intends to Renew Alcohol Wholesale License is eligible to make this application.

• The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.

• The validity of an Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS) licence in Scotland is five years.

• To renew the applicant’s Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS) licence in Scotland, he/she must submit his/her application to HMRC at least three months before the expiry date of his/her current licence.
