1. To Apply for Gas Engineer License, the applicant has to make their application online via the following link link
2. The applicant must click “Apply Online,” and enter the required credentials and click create account.
3. Then, the applicant must select the application and complete the application form with all necessary details.
4. Next upload the necessary documents that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Pay the prescribed fee as mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
6. Review the application and click “Submit”.
7. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
8. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
9. Once everything is accepted, the authority will issue the license.
10. This entire process can be completed within 10-15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• Evidence of the applicant’s competence: This can be in the form of a qualification, or a portfolio of work that demonstrates his/her skills and knowledge.
• A recent photograph: This is used to create the applicant’s Gas Safe ID card.

To obtain a Gas Engineer License in Scotland, the applicant must:

• Be over the age of 18
• Have a good character
• Have relevant trade qualifications
• Pass a Gas Safe Register assessment

To Apply for Gas Engineer License, it costs:

• £416.40 to register one engineer
• £31.18 for each additional engineer

• The validity of Gas Safe Registered Card is 5 years.
