1. To Apply for Cable TV License, the applicant must make the application online via the following link link
2. The applicant must click “Pay” and click “New License.”
3. Then the applicant must select for who they are buying a TV Licence in the check box.
4. Next the applicant must select the check boxes for the following questions
5. When did they need a licence from?
6. How would they like to receive your TV Licence?
7. Are they blind or severely sight impaired?
8. Are they currently a student?
9. Then click “Continue.” Next the applicant must enter the details about the Tv license holder and payment option and submit the application.
10. The fee details are mentioned in Fees section of this page.
11. After successful payment the applicant will receive their license via email or by post.
12. This entire process can be completed within one or two days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• In Scotland, a cable TV license is a legal requirement for anyone who watches or records live TV programmes on any channel, or downloads or watches BBC programmes on BBC iPlayer, on any device. This applies to both homes and businesses.

• It's important to note that it's a criminal offence to watch or record live TV without a TV license. If you're caught, you could be fined up to £1,000.

• There are some exceptions to the TV license requirement. For example, you don't need a cable TV license if you only ever watch on demand programmes on any TV service apart from BBC iPlayer. You also don't need a TV license to watch videos or clips on demand on YouTube.
