Citizens

1. Obtain a mobile number and have it registered under your national Identification card (ID)
2. With a registered mobile number, click on this link to register your account: Registration
3. Key-in your National ID number and your mobile number then fill the captcha text box and submit
4. Once you have submitted the correct details, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your phone number
5. In the next page fill the registration form correctly and key-in OTP then submit for processing
6. Upon successful submission of the registration form an Email and SMS notification will be sent to you confirming registration

Rwandans living abroad

1. Visit Irembo portal via this link: Irembo portal
2. Choose the type of the Identification document you have i.e. ID or Passport, note that when you use your passport number, you will be required to upload a scanned copy of the passport
3. Complete all the required information correctly including your embassy of residence then submit
4. Upon a successful submission, you will receive an email notifications confirming submission
5. An embassy official will receive your application and verify the provided information and approve it
6. Once approved the embassy will generate a username and password and issue them to you. Note: Password can be changed on first login

Foreign Residents in Rwanda

1. Obtain a mobile number and have it registered under your Foreigner's Identity Card
2. With a registered mobile number, click on this link to register your account: registration
3. Key-in your Foreigner's Identity number and your mobile number then fill the captcha text box and submit
4. Once you have submitted the correct details, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your phone number
5. In the next page fill the registration form correctly and input your OTP and submit for processing
6. Upon successful submission of the registration form an Email and SMS notification will be sent to you confirming your registration

• For Citizens and Foreign Residents in Rwanda you must have a registered local mobile number under your identification documents for you to qualify for registration, citizens living in diaspora can use their passports but will be required to upload a scanned copy of the passport to complete the registration through their embassy of residence
