1. The application for obtaining the Amateur Radio License can be obtained from the Rwanda Utilities Authority (RURA).
2. Make sure you have all the documents that are listed under the Required Documents section of this page.
3. Submit the completed application form along with the required documents to the Director General of Rwanda Utilities Authority (RURA) which is the following address.

• Application letter addressed to the Director General Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA).
• Completed application form : Application Form
• Clear Photocopy of Rwanda National Identity Card or Rwanda Passport of the applicant or Parent/Guardian in case of a Novice. Both sides of the ID should be copied onto the same side of an A4 size paper.
• Clear Photocopy of non-Rwandans should include the pages showing the nationality, date of issue and expiry, holders name, photograph and the Rwandan Visa for foreigners.(A copy of the Visitors Visa is not required for short term visitors).
• Valid and current Amateur Radio license. (In-case of renewal)
