Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for temporary residence certificate, applicant has to approach the tehsildar at revenue department office link
2. Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
3. Complete the application form. Attach the entire required documents as per our “required documents” section and submit it to the designated authority.
4. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding your proof which you have submitted along with the form.
5. Collect the acknowledgment slip for submitting the form. Keep it safe for future reference.
6. Use acknowledgment slip to obtain certificate as per the department notification.
7. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
8. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets the call from the office regarding the application.
9. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
10. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• Applicant must be the citizen of India.

Temporary certificate is valid for 1 year (it can be issued for a maximum of 2 years)
