Queensland - Replace your License


Procedure

  1. Visit a customer service centre. Click here to search for a Customer Service Centre near you: http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/About-us/Contact-us/In-person/Customer-service-centres.aspx.
  2. Complete an application form with evidence of identity documents.

  3. Pay the replacement fee.

If your existing license has been lost, stolen, destroyed or defaced you need to get a replacement license.

  • If you are a Queensland resident temporarily living interstate or overseas and your Queensland driver license has been lost, stolen, destroyed or defaced, you can apply for a replacement driver license by printing and completing the driver license replacement kit: http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/~/media/Licensing/Renewing%20or%20replacing%20a%20licence/driver%20licence%20replacement%20kit.pdf.
    This kit contains instructions on how to replace your license and includes the forms you need to complete.
  • Note: If you are no longer a resident of Queensland you need to contact the driver licensing authority in the state, territory, or country where you now reside to obtain a driver license.
