1. To register as a Canadian citizen abroad, the applicant will need to visit the Government of Canada website, use the following Link.
2. Click on the “Online Registration” option, the applicant will be directed to another page.
3. Read the terms and conditions carefully and enter whether the applicant is a Canadian citizen or not and click on the “Accept” option.
4. The applicant will be directed to the application page, enter all relevant details such as name, destination details and other information.
5. Once entered, click on “Submit”.
6. Once submitted, all the information entered will be saved and can be used by the government of Canada in case they want to contact the applicant abroad.
7. The applicant can also access information easily by downloading the “Travel Smart” app, download the app by clicking the link under the “Documents to Use” section of this page.

• The applicant must be a Canadian citizen.
• Under a special agreement, Australian and Israeli citizens can also register.
