Quebec - File Business or Professional Income


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To file Business or Professional Income in person, the applicant has to visit the office of Canada Revenue Agency that is nearest to their location.
  2. Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link
  3. Visit the office as applicable and obtain the Form T2125-Statement of business or professional activities, from the relevant department.
  4. Application form download links are also available below:
  5. Complete the application form with all the required details and information in the respective fields.
  6. After that, the applicant should attach the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page, with the completed form.
  7. Then, submit the application form and required documents to the relevant official at the office. The application process is free.
  8. On receiving the completed form and the required information, the respective official will assess the submitted information and proceed to file the Business or Professional Income.

  1. To file Business or Professional Income through mail, the applicant has to send an application to the office of Canada Revenue Agency that is nearest to their location.

  4. Complete the application form with all the required details and information in the respective fields.

  6. Then, send the application form and required documents to the respective mailing address. The application process is free.

  • The applicants should complete the application form with all the mandatory details provided with absolute legibility.
  • The applicants are advised to attach all the required documents without any insufficiency, to avoid rejections and delay in processing.
  • If the applicant has both business and professional income, they have to complete a separate Form T2125 for each. They also have to complete a separate form for each business or professional activity, if they have two or more of either.

Need for the Document

  • Statement or Filing of Business or Professional Activities is required to report the business and professional income and expenses.
  • It also helps to calculate the gross income and the net income (loss), which is required for filing the Federal Income Tax and Benefit Return.
