Application upon arrival

• This visa is issued on arrival at the airport as to the following.

• For those coming on Qatar Airways with the intention of continuing their journey to their destination.
• For those coming on Qatar Airways with the intention of Tourist travel in Doha.

1. Upon arrival to Qatar, visit applicant has to visit the Qatar Airlines Desk/Kiosk or the Ministry of Interiors’, Immigration offices in Hamad Airport in Doha to make the application.
2. Here the applicant will be required to give details surrounding his/her request for the transit visa, how long they intend to stay in Qatar.
3. Here the applicant will also be required to submit the required documents so as to make his/her application. These documents include.

   • A clear passport copy for each passenger (including infants). The passport should be valid for a minimum of six months at the time of entry into Qatar.
   • Travel itinerary
   • The confirmed tickets into Qatar and onwards must be on Qatar Airways operated flights only. (for Applications with Qatar Airways) (Passengers travelling on code-share flights will not be eligible to apply through Qatar Airways but can apply through the Ministry of Interior)

4. The concerned official will go through your application and if everything is okay the application for the transit visa will be approved and processed.
5. A printout of the visa will be handed over to the applicant to visit Qatar for the specified period of time.

Note:

• Make sure you print a copy of the approved visa and carry it with you when you travel within Qatar.

In Advance Application through Consular Affairs Department

1. You can make an application for the transit visa in 30 days advance before you travel to Qatar.
2. This can be done by visiting the Consular Affairs Department of the Qatari embassy in your country.
3. Approach the Diplomatic, Consular or representative missions of Qatar offices to lodge your application.
4. Here you will be given an application form for a transit request visa to fill and submit.
5. You will also be required to submit the required documents so as to make the application. These documents include.

   • A clear passport copy for each passenger (including infants). The passport should be valid for a minimum of six months at the time of entry into Qatar.
   • The confirmed tickets into Qatar and onwards
   • Travel itinerary

6. Proceed to make the payment of the transit visa using a debit card or credit card.

   • A fee of QR100 is charged when making an application through the consular department.

7. After payment of the fees the application will be processed and if approved and a copy of the Transit will be issued to the applicant.

Note:

• Carry a copy of the approved visa and bring it with you when you travel, as it should be presented prior to check-in and upon arrival in Qatar.
• You must apply for the transit visa at least 7 days (excluding public holidays in Qatar) and a maximum of 30 days prior to your intended date of arrival to Doha, Qatar.
• Entry to the State of Qatar with approved visa must be within 30 days from the date of visa issuance.

1. To make an online application for a transit visa the applicant has to visit the Qatar Airways Online Application Portal to make the application. This should be done after making a booking to fly to Qatar through Qatar Airways
2. Enter the required information. This includes:

   • The booking reference number
   • Last name

3. Click on “Apply Now” button to access the online application form.
4. Fill in the required information correctly and click on the “submit” button for processing and approval.
5. The transit visa will be issued immediately to all nationalities after entering the applicant’s information through an automated system.
6. The application is free of charge.
7. Make sure you print a copy of the approved visa and bring it with you when you travel, as it should be presented prior to check-in and upon arrival in Qatar

• You must apply for the transit visa at least 7 days (excluding public holidays in Qatar) and a maximum of 30 days prior to your intended date of arrival to Doha, Qatar.

• Only one stopover is permitted for the entire journey.
• A fee of QR100 is charged when making an application through the consular department.

• It is valid for one month and non-extendable.
• The transit visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.
