1. In Qatar, the Medical Commission is responsible for holding medical examinations with the aim of protecting the health of Qatar population and preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
2. Visitors who want to obtain a visit visa extension on their visit visa need to undergo a medical examination. This medical examination to ensure that they are free from any diseases that may prevent them from obtaining approval for the visit visa extension.
3. The medical examination is done by visiting the Medical Commission, located on Al Muntazah Street, off the E-Ring Road. 4. Once you visit the facility, present the required document as applicable to the commission’s officials. These documents include.

   • The original passport.
   • A copy of the visit visa, with the mobile number you want to call, if necessary.
   • Passport photo of the applicant

5. You will be issued with a Medical Fitness Certificate Form to fill and submit. This form can also be downloaded from the Ministry of Public Health website through the following link. : link
6. The commission’s office will go through your documents and you will be asked to make the payment for the medical test.

   • The fee for the medical test is QR100 per individual,
   • A Debit/Credit Card is used for payment. Cash payment is not allowed.

7. After payment of the fees you will be summoned to take the medical examination.

   • The medical examination may include Blood Test, Chest X-Ray, Screening for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C. (the tests are mentioned in the medical fitness certificate form).

8. The results take a period of one to two weeks to come through. You can print Medical Health Certificate online or collect it from the Medical Commission

   • The result of the medical examination shall be sent electronically to the residency system of the Ministry of Interior.
   • The original registration receipt must be presented if you want to collect the health certificate from the Medical Commission.
