This service allows students to equalize their educational certificates that do not follow Qatari Educational Curriculum in Private Schools in Qatar and Schools outside of Qatar for every educational level that the student went through, starting from the 1st grade until the General Secondary School Certificate, in order to enrol in Qatari Government Schools and Private Schools that applies Qatari Educational Curriculum.

Apply Online

1. The first step in making the online application is visiting the Online Portal for Equivalency of Certificates and Prior Approval by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education MOEHE Website.
2. Once here, click on the LOG IN icon to log into your account if you have already registered.
3. Login with the username and password you received through SMS. If you do not have an account register a new account by clicking on the :New User? Register Now? link.
4. Once logged in; click on “New Request-Select Service” Option and choose “Schooling Certificate Equivalence Service” Option , then click “Create New Request” Option.
5. You will be redirected to the chosen service page, please apply the following steps:

   • Step 1- Read the terms and conditions thoroughly then tick the checkbox near the “I acknowledge that I have read, and I agree to the above terms and conditions”.
   • Step 2- Enter “Contact Details” then click on “Next” button.
   • Step 3- Enter the “Student Data” who is the requester of the certificate and make sure to enter the name as per the certificate, then click on “Next” button.
   • Step 4- Choose the details of the certificate required for equivalency then click “Add” button.

6. Enter the number of school years that you passed (in numbers format) starting from grade 1 until the last passing year, and then click “Next” button.
7. Attach the required documents to submit the "School Certificate Equivalency Request" and ensure that it matches the requirements of the system, and click on “Upload” button then click “Next” button.
8. Review your application and declare by clicking on the checkbox near the sentence” I hereby confirm that the application information is correct and therefore assume full liability for any misinformation” then click “Submit” button.
9. Verify that an SMS has been delivered to your registered mobile number indicating your submission of a new request.
10. Once the equivalency is done; the applicant will be notified to collect the equivalency report through SMS and email.
11. You can print the equivalency certificate from the Online Portal for Equivalency of Certificates and Prior Approval, by logging in and accessing the certificate online.

Graduates of the General Secondary School

1. Certified/attested end of year transcripts for the previous three school years.
2. Secondary school graduation certificate (for countries issuing this certificate).
   

Holders of the British General Certificate of Secondary Education

1. Passing five (at least) ‘O-Level’ subjects of the GCSE, and (at least) two (A-Level) subjects or advanced level (AS) subjects.
2. Five of the subjects taught to the student must be in conformity with the curriculum subjects prescribed in the Qatari General Secondary Certificate.

Graduates of the International Baccalaureate (IB)

1. The student must have completed six subjects, at least three of which are Higher Level (HL), and at least three subjects are Standard level (SL).
2. CAS, TOK and EE scores are not counted in the percentage score.
3. The student's should score no less than 24 points.
4. Furnish the International Baccalaureate certificate along with the school certificate.

Online Portal for Equivalency of Certificates and Prior Approval

• The equivalency of the academic certificate aims to know what is equivalent to this certificate in the Qatari educational ladder for those wishing to enrol in Qatari public schools and schools that apply the standards of Qatari curricula only.

• In case of registering for the first time, the password must be compromised of small letters, capital letters and numbers only, which should not be a part of your email address.
• You can only attach documents in PDF, PNG, and JPG Formats.
• You can follow up with your application regularly by accessing the service page directly which shows your application and its status.
• You may receive an SMS in case any of the submitted information is incomplete or requires new attachments that require an immediate update. You may also receive an SMS to submit the original documents in person to check if it matches the submitted documents.
• In case your application is approved, you will receive an SMS stating the completion of the application and you can download the decision directly from the service page.
