Qatar - Renew of Fishing Ship or Boat License


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To renew of fishing ship or boat license, applicant has to visit the Fishermen Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office.

  3. Obtain the application form from the respective officer at MME office.
  4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
  6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the fishermen affairs department in the MME office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
  7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  8. After the verification process, fishing ship or boat license will be renewed.




Required Documents

  • Copy of QID of ship or boat owner.
  • Original existing license of fishing ship or boat.
  • Small Craft Registration Certificate (issued by the Ministry of Transport and Communications)

Eligibility

  • Applicant who is having the Original existing license of fishing ship or boat can apply for renewal.
  • Applicant who have Qatar ID card are eligible to apply.



Fees

  • Applicable fees are as follows:
    • Wooden fishing ship license renewal: QR10.
    • Non-wooden fishing ship or boat license renewal: QR100.
    • A QR50 fine is paid for every month of delay in case the fishing license is not renewed for the ships or boats.



Validity

  • Fishing ship or boat license valid for six months.

  • Applicant shall submit a request to the fishermen affairs department in the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) to renew of fishing ship or boat license.

  • Qatar ID card.




Need for the Document

  • When the fishing ship or boat license that you possess becomes invalid or crosses its expiry date, you need to renew your license by lodging an application in a format prescribed above.
