Apply In-Person

1. To obtain departure certificate, applicant has to visit the Unified Service Department at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) office.

3. Application form can be downloaded from the below link: Application form
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the general directorate of border passports and expatriates affairs Department in the Ministry of Interior(MOI) office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After the verification process, departure certificate is issued.

• A resident, who is going to leave the country due to the expired visa, is eligible to obtain an departure certificate.
• Every resident is eligible to get a departure certificate from their sponsor, except those who are wives and dependent children under the sponsorship of their husbands and fathers respectively.

• In the “Metrash2” mobile Application, one who has Qatar ID can easily login and enter into the application to make use of the services provided.
• The application form must be typed in Arabic only. Except the name, which should be typed in Arabic and English as written in the passport.
