Apply Online

1. One can get a vehicle repair permit by applying to the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior.
2. This can be done online by visiting the Ministry of Interior’s website through the following link.
3. Once you have opened the website’s page click on the MOI Services tab on the dashboard and navigate to the Inquires section then click on it.
4. This will lead you to the next page displaying MOI Services, where you have to click on the “Traffic Inquiries” Tab to go the next page
5. Here click on the “Traffic Report” icon to access the online application form.
6. In the “Report Type” section select “Vehicle Repair Permit”
7. Fill in the required information. These include:-

   • The incident number (indicate if it’s a new incident or case)
   • Driver Number or Plate Number
   • Type of vehicle
   • The verification code from the picture or audio

8. Confirm that the information you provided is correct, then click on the “inquire” button.
9. A prompt message confirming the incident will be displayed.
10. A notification SMS (text message) will be sent to you asking to wait for another message to complete the procedures
11. After reviewing the request by the traffic investigators, an SMS will be sent to you to informing you of your permit approval or denial.
12. The vehicle repair permit can be printed from MOI's official website, or through the insurance company concerned.
13. The processing time is immediate and the service is free of charge.

Through Metrash2

1. To apply for a vehicle repair permit, the applicant has the following link application after obtaining a road accident report
2. After getting a road accident report you can apply for a vehicle repair permit by signing into Metrash2 App and select “Traffic” to go to the next page
3. Once there navigate to “Vehicle Repair” and click on it
4. Enter the required details of the vehicle and incidence, upload the required documents, and click on “Submit” request.
5. Confirm your submission by clicking “Yes”
6. A notification SMS (text message) will be sent to you asking to wait for the vehicle repair permit to be processed
7. After successfully reviewing the application by traffic investigators, an SMS of confirmation will be sent to the applicant.
8. Once the processing is done, the vehicle repair permit is sent to your Metrash2 account and you can print it from the app or through the insurance company concerned.
9. The processing time is immediate and the service is free of charge.

• One needs vehicle repair permit to be able to repair a vehicle involved in an accident in Qatar.

• If the responsibility is clear in the accident, the investigator will complete the report and register the accident. SMSs will be sent to both parties to print insurance and repairing reports (for the harmed party) through MoI website by using the sent accident number.
• If the accident requires further investigation, the investigator will report that the investigation is not complete. SMSs will be sent to both parties to head to Traffic Dept. to complete the investigation.

• Traffic Violations

• The traffic violations section under the Traffic Directorate deals with the traffic violations and takes over the verification mission of the correctness of the violations from the legal side.
• It also undertakes the implementation of verdicts issued by the courts with respect to vehicles and the verdicts are issued against its owners.
• it is the body entrusted with the application of the law from execution side, where it takes measures that ensure the application of the law in letter and spirit.
• The task performed as part of traffic violation services can be summarized in the following: -

1. Data entry of traffic violations.
2. Preparation of case files for traffic violations that require settlement through the courts.
3. Collection of violation amounts imposed upon Qatar cars in GCC countries.
4. Make executive and administrative detention on vehicles required by the competent courts.
5. Seize the car violating the law of public hygiene in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality and agricultural Affairs.
6. Supervision and follow-up on violations committed by the armed forces, police, and diplomatic bodies.
7. The direct supervision of seizure of the vehicles sought by the traffic or those vehicles that are impounded in cases of traffic accidents.
