Apply in-Person

1. To apply for exchanging land with another citizen, you should visit the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office in your region, please view the contact details and location maps of the municipalities through this link: Link
2. Prepare the required supporting document for the application as mention in the “Required Documents” below for both you and the other party.
3. Download the application form directly from this link: Link and fill the section of “Switch plot with citizen” accordingly i.e. both you and the other switching individual.
4. Attach the required supporting documents to the application form in a single fill
5. Visit the Municipality premises in your location and submit the complete application to the Land and Survey Department customer service desk at the urban planning sector office
6. The customer service officer will verify your application and forward it to the relevant authority for assessment
7. The Land and Survey Department will assess the application and approve your request and sign the form
8. Then they will perform the exchange and update the data in their system and produce new documents with the new owners details and have them issued to you and the other party

• ID copies of both parties
• Attested copies of title deeds for both lands and layouts
• Complete application form

• None of the two lands shall be located within the areas allocated for groups unless you are from the same family
