Apply In-Person

1. To apply for increasing allowable height limit of your building, you should visit the municipality premises in your region, you can view the contact details and location map of the municipalities through this link: Link
2. Submit your complete request to the to Urban Design Section of the Urban Planning Department customer service desk
3. The assisting officer at the customer service desk will verify your application and issue you an acknowledgement receipt then forward your application for assessment by the municipality engineer
4. The responsible engineer will then examines the request in terms of the necessity of such increase and its relevance with the height of the neighbouring buildings in addition to how far the surrounding streets can accommodate this height.
5. Once the engineer determines that the building meets the standard requirement for increasing the height, he will approve you request
6. The customer service official will inform you of the approval by telephone or email
7. Then visit the office to collect the original approval letter
