Apply In-Person

1. To apply for an Abu Samrah Border Entry Permit an applicant has to approach the Ministry of Interior (MOI) offices at the border point to make the application.
2. The first step is to fill out an online request for permission to enter Abu Samrah port, and then print it out. The application form can be obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link : Request for permission to enter Abu Samrah port
3. Enter all the required information correctly, print the completed application form, and then attach the required documents. These include:

   • For Qataris: Copy of QID
   • For residents: Copy of passport and residence permit
   • A copy of the identity card
   • 4.8 * 3.8 photograph

4. Submit the completed application form and the required documents for processing and approval to

   The Chairman,

   Permanent Committee

   Ministry of Interior

   Abu Samrah port,

5. Proceed to pay the application fee which varies with the period you wish to hold the permit. This period may vary from one day, one month to one year. The fee details are explained and given by the border point officials.
6. The processing time is usually immediate. However, the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
7. Once the application has been processed by the MOI officials a border entry permit will be issued to the applicant granting them permission of entry.
