Apply In-Person:

1. To apply funding for kanaad ships, applicant has to visit the Fisheries Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office.

4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the fisheries department in the MME office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After the verification process, funding for kanaad ships will be provided.

• Copy of QID of ship owner.
• Valid small craft registration certificate (issued by the Ministry of Transport and Communications).
• Copy of valid fishing license.
• Bank letter, clarifying the IBAN no.

• Applicant shall submit a request to the fisheries department in the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) to apply funding for kanaad ships.
• The used tools “fishing nets” shall be registered in the permit for no less than 10 months a year.
• The ship shall be valid for sailing and fishing for a minimum of 10 months, starting October 15 every year, excluding the period of regular maintenance and repairs that should not exceed three months.

• Name of the applicant.

• To obtain funding for kanaad ships for the ban on fishing for kingfish during the period between 15 August and 15 of October of each year.

• The Ministry has the authority to abandon the candidate or take any official action against forgery or manipulation of data by the applicant.
• Funding requests are collected and a list of eligible ships is issued at the end of the period specified for submitting applications.
