Punjab - Complaint about Faulty Electricity Meter


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. Approach the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to register your complaint regarding the faulty electricity meter.
  2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the address.
  3. Consult the respective person in the electricity office who takes the complaint.
  4. Record your complaint as per their guidelines.
  5. Once the complaint is recorded, the consumer will be provided with a receipt or acknowledgement which needs to be kept safe until it is required.
  6. A technician will visit on the address mentioned in the application to inspect the electricity meter.
  7. If the electricity meter is found faulty, it is removed and taken to the department lab for checking.
  8. The department will inform to the consumer to either collect the repaired meter or the replaced meter until which the consumer needs to wait until further notice from the department.
  9. The consumer must follow the department notice and regulations to get the electricity meter fixed.

  1. You can file a complaint to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) by navigating to this link Link
  2. Enter your name, mobile number and the OTP you’ll receive.
  3. After signing in fill out all the details asked in the form. Refer to the “Required Information” section in this procedure to fill the required details.
  4. You can even attach the photo proof about faulty electricity meter/bill as a proof. Please make sure you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After filling out all the details and uploading required photos or documents, click on the submit button.
  6. The complaint is now fully submitted.
  7. After the complaint is submitted the fuse man will visit for the inspection of the faulty meter and replace the meter from the local or centralized location.
