Apply In-Person:

1. To renew FSSAI license for Cold Storage, you have to approach the Commissioner of Food Safety / Officer-In-Charge for Food Safety.

3. You can download the application Form-A for renewal from the following link: Link.
4. Please make sure you are eligible to make the application by going through the eligibility criteria provided under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
5. First download the Form- C from the link and fill all the required information and you need to submit the form to the Commissioner of Food safety department. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
6. Please complete the application form and make sure you have all the documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. Pay the appropriate fees and submit the form to the Officer-In-Charge in the Food Safety department.
8. Designated Officer may order an inspection before renewal if considered necessary for reasons to be recorded in writing.
9. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
10. The applicant will be later requested to collect the renewed license for Cold Storage on a specified date.

Apply Online:

1. To renew FSSAI license for cold storage through online, you can use the FOSCOS website. Please click the following link: FOSCOS Website
2. After visiting the link, you have to click the “CLICK HERE FOR FOSCOS “tab
3. Click the “Login-Businesses” tab. Below user sign-in box enter your user name, password and captcha code and click on the “sign-in” button to login.
4. If you are a new user, then click on the “Sign up” tab and fill all the required details and enter the captcha code. Then click on the “Sign up” tab.
5. After clicking “Sign up” button, you will receive an SMS with an activation code (OTP) to your registered mobile number. Now enter the OTP and click on “Submit” button, after entering OTP account will be activated.
6. After successful login, click on the “Renewal” button located at the left side of the page. Then click on the “Apply for Renewal of license/Registration” box located below.

   Note:-In case, your License does not get listed here for renewal and expiry is within 120 days, you might have already applied for Renewal of License and the application will be under either incomplete or submitted application bin on the Dashboard.

7. Please read the note mentioned above. In this page you can find all your Food License details. Now click on the “Proceed” button. No it will display a Pop-up menu. Please read that and Click “Ok” button to confirm.
8. Next a form will be displayed. Now your license details will be shown. If you have any changes in that please change it and then Select the Number of years for your License validity and then Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
9. Next it will show some more details related to your license. Now Click on the declaration box.
10. Now select your payment method and click on the “Pay” button.
11. Now payment options will be provided in this page. Pay the correct amount and click “Pay Now” button.
12. Click on the “Submit” tab to get the acknowledgment slip. Please keep the slip safely for future use.
13. The Food inspector will inspect all the details and if they are correct the license will be approved for renewal.
14. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.

Note:-

• License(s)/Registration Certificate eligible for Renewal shall only start getting listed here 120 Days prior to expiry of License.2. License(s)/Registration Certificate shall not get listed here for Renewal once your License(s)/Registration Certificate has expired as of today. Please submit a new application.

Apply through mobile App:

1. The applicant willing to Renew License for cold storage must download the mobile app Food Safety Connect App.
2. The applicant can download the app from play store using the following Link: link
3. Click the “Login-Businesses” tab and Under User sign-in Box enter your Application Ref. No./License No./Certificate No. and Click on the “Proceed” button to login.
4. If you are a new user, then Click on the "Do you want to apply for New License/Registration" and click on the "renewal of License/Registration" tab in the new page.
5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of the business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
6. On the next page, click on the “Click here to apply Central License for all Businesses”.
7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required information under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
8. On the Production selection page, fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
9. Next Click on the “Save” to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, click on the “Save & Next”.
10. Next fill all the Communication details and Click on the “Save & Next”.
11. Under required documents section upload all the relevant documents and Click on the “Save & Next”.
12. Next pay the fees and submit the application.
13. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number make a print of it and keep it safe for future reference.
14. You can track the application through the home page.
15. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.

• Any change in documents or information provided during grant of previous license.
• Certificate or Plan of Food Safety Management System being adopted (for units under Central Licensing it has to be a certificate from accredited agencies)
• Expired license is required.
• To appeal for FSSAI registration renewal, you need to have all the mentioned documents.

• The license ensures that the food from the Cold storage is hygienic.
• You can’t start a food business without FSSAI license. So, don’t sell foods without FSSAI license.
• For to preserve these foods we need to obtain Cold storage license from FSSAI.

• Sometimes the authorities will do inspections if you don’t have license then you must pay huge amount has penalty.
• FSSAI License Renewal should be done in time to avoid penalties. The renewal needs to done before 120 days of the license expiry.
• The FSSAI license will appear in FSSAI license renewal bin before 60 days of the expiration of FSSAI license. Hence it is suggested to apply for renewal of Food License at the same time.
• Any renewal application filed beyond the period mentioned under Regulation 2.1.7 (2) above but before the expiry date, shall be accompanied by a late fee of Rs 100 per day for each day of delay.
