Puducherry - Apply for (Lost,Damaged,Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card


Procedure

Through Enrolment Centres :

  1. Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
  2. Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment: link for appointment
  3. With / without online appointment, go to the centre as located with required documents.
  4. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  5. Authority will process the details online and match the details to check the Aadhaar card for the applied one.
  6. Please follow their guidelines for processing your request.
  7. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scan for finger and eye iris scan will also be completed.
  8. Upon completion, Applicant will be issued an acknowledgement receipt for reference and the request will be processed for duplicate Aadhaar card.



Apply Online:
‘’If you have lost your AADHAAR card Enrolment ID and don't know your AADHAAR number, you can download AADHAAR card by following these steps below :’’

  1. To apply for (Lost,Damaged,Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card online, the applicant has to visit the following link:Link
  2. On the given page, enter the 12 digit Aadhaar Number or 28 digit Enrolment Number.
  3. Now enter name, mobile number or email ID to proceed.
  4. Now enter the captcha and click on "Send OTP".
  5. The applicant will receive an OTP on the registered phone number. Provide the OTP
  6. On a newly opened page, fill up all the details correctly
  7. Now provide the "Required Documents".
  8. Upon verification, the applicant will be given a date to visit the concerned office to provide biometrics.
  9. Provide the demographic details and biometrics as instructed.
  10. After successful completion, the duplicate aadhar card will be issued.
  11. The applicant may download e-aadhaar or a copy of aadhaar from the given link: Link



Apply in Person

  1. To Apply for (Lost,Damaged,Misplaced) Duplicate Aadhaar Card, the applicant has to locate an enrolment centre by clicking on this link: Link
  2. Fill in all the details correctly and click "Locate a Centre".
  3. From the given slot, choose the nearest enrolment centre.
  4. Now book an appointment.
  5. On the given appointment date, visit the centre with all the "Required Documents"
  6. Fill an application form for a duplicate card and follow the instructions as directed.
  7. Provide iris, biometrics and other necessary information to the authority.
  8. The authority will verify the application along with other necessary documents and information.
  9. Once verified, the duplicate aadhar card will be issued.
  10. The applicant will receive the card at their registered residence via post.

  • Proof of identity(any one of the following)
    • Passport / PAN / Ration card / Driving License
  • Residense proof (any one of the following)
    • Passport / Bank Statement / Ration card / Voter ID / Driving License / Electricity bill /
    • Proof of Date of Birth (any one of the following)
  • Birth Certificate, Mark sheet issued by any Government Board or University, PAN card, etc.

Need for the Document

  • Aadhaar card is an initiative by the government to organize citizen.
  • Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
  • Aadhaar card is mandatory in opening bank account.
  • Aadhaar card is useful in most of the application for obtaining voter id, ration card, pan card, Land registration, Driving license, Vehicle registration and more.
  • If in case your Aadhaar card is lost / damaged / misplaced, one has to apply for duplicate Aadhaar card
